I'm Makeen Majlis, an AI systems engineer focused on retrieval, document intelligence, multilingual data, and the infrastructure behind reliable software.
My work is centered on knowledge-intensive products: systems that need to ingest complex source material, retrieve the right information, preserve provenance, and present useful results to real users.
I founded and engineer Istidlal, a citation-grounded research platform spanning Arabic and Urdu retrieval, hybrid search, document processing, structured citations, authentication, subscriptions, and production deployment.
I hold an MS in Software Engineering and a BS in Information Technology from Kennesaw State University.
