I'm Makeen Majlis, a software and AI engineer. I build custom websites, search systems, and useful products, from the interface through the infrastructure.
My work is centered on knowledge-intensive products: systems that need to ingest complex source material, retrieve the right information, preserve provenance, and present useful results to real users.
I founded and engineer Istidlal, a citation-grounded research platform spanning Arabic and Urdu retrieval, hybrid search, document processing, structured citations, authentication, subscriptions, and production deployment.
My website work spans business and hospitality sites, custom WordPress themes, WooCommerce storefronts, and publishing platforms. Recent builds include Hadith Answers, Al-Miftah, Darul Hadith, Fragranci, and Skin Deva.
I hold an MS in Software Engineering and a BS in Information Technology from Kennesaw State University.
